Another first time Toastmaster of the day Val Rodionov with his theme: "Superstitions and Urban Legends" ran a great meeting with lots of strange superstitions to tell us about with, of course, some bizzare Russian ones most had never heard of. Congratulations on a very creative meeting Val! Grammarian Cliff Noble gave us an "awesome" word-of-the-day but Sue Zenger complained of badly done overuse, but he meant it in the awe inspiring sense I'm sure.
Richard Stewart's was responsible for Table Topics derived on the theme subject.
The day's speakers were: Mike O'Brien who created depth to the concepts on data evaluation, Mick Coventry who humorously had an eye on God, Roberta Perry brought up space-wars weaponry as part of a "Top Gun" project she is working on, Yan Yatkovskaya tackled the history of World War II—complete with a question and answer period, Ingrid Smith told the tale of what happened to Cinderella (Part 2) and took Best Speaker award, and Bill Moon who followed all this with a bell-curve and the theory of Life. The speeches were so awesome, I'm sure glad I wasn't competing in today's lineup!
Another awesome meeting! (dang!) Let the Renaissance continue...
