Club co-founder Richard Stewart was Toastmaster of the day with his theme: "Prairie Home Renaissance". Starting as detective 'Guy Noir' he helped Ingrid Smith find the meeting, thank goodness! We weren't sure he knew where it was at first, but it turned out he did (you know how men are about directions). Double-hatted Grammarian Cliff Noble was delicious and "expeditious" as the word-of-the-day.
For Table Topics, Ray Korns had us extend the question into a story. Mick Coventry won Best and reticent Sue Zenger Most Improved.
The day's speakers were: Guy Martin, Annette McCullough with her invited friend Harvey the pooka, Susan Boughton, Debbie Ellish newly returned from Florida, Mike O'Brien, and Val Rodionov who totally "had" us with his exaggerated humorous tale thereby winning both Best and Most Improved Speaker ribbons.
A great fun meeting. The Renaissance continues...
