Toastmaster Alberto Cabilan was faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive and able to leap tall Meetings with a single theme: "Superhero You". In advance of the meeting Alberto sent all the members a survey to determine what superheros they were. I happy to say that Alberto is 70% Superman, 20% Spiderman and 10% Green Lantern--it figures.
Table Topics Master Debbie Ellish asked some "super" questions, but forgot to wear her superhero costume. Maybe it was in the cleaners?
Our speaking lineup was lead by Ray Korns in astronomical powerpoint style with his speech "Your Basic Galactic Locational" in which we toured from our location to the entire Visible Universe without leaving our seats. We ended up having the entire physical universe in the palms of our hands.
Next Wendy Moose told us of dealing with different emotional tones throughout her extensive flying experience.
Cowgirl, Naomi Conners confessed her hankerin' fer a real Texan in "How To Rope A Cowboy" addressed to the gals in the audience. Shore was entertainin'. How in heck Richard Stewart could miss this, shore beats me?
Mike Baron talked of the joys of having your very own pond right in your backyard in "Pond Myths Exposed."
And Lance Miller jumped in with a speech addressed toward handling being "controversial".
A great time was had by all and we learned some stuff too. Thanks Alberto and Club Coach Barbara Lewis for a great meeting!
